Mobile Phone Amnesty
As part of our fundraising efforts, we have teamed up with Community
Fonebak to collect unwanted mobile phones, and we would like your help
by publicising our collection campaign by putting up a poster, handing
out recycling bags or by holding a mobile phone amnesty in your
(office/store/restaurant/post office/etc).
Did you know up to 15 million mobile phones are replaced each year in
the UK alone? While people are replacing their phones, many people in
developing countries can’t afford the most basic communications. In
addition, our unwanted mobile phones could end up in landfill polluting
our countryside.
Our mobile phones collection campaign aims to collect phones, which
can then be sold in developing countries. We receive the money generated
through the resale of these phones. In addition, Community Fonebak
ensures that any phones that cannot be reused are safely recycled, thus
ensuring minimum impact on the environment.

Young at Heart Badge
This unique Young at Heart badge helps spread awareness of the charity. You can support the heart children by purchasing a badge for just £1. It could make a special gift for family and friends. Alternatively, you may know of somewhere that would display and sell these badges for the Charity, perhaps your local shop, school or other outlet. Please call the helpline to make a purchase or for further information

We have teamed up with easyfundraising who provide a great new service where you can raise funds and also save money when you shop online. Simply go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and on the home page click on ‘find a cause’ (the pink button) and scroll down to the Y’s, where you will find Young at Heart, click on this and register.
It doesn’t cost anything to register or shop and you will have access to over 130 of the UK’s biggest retailers, who in turn offer special offers and discounts — some exclusive to easyfundraising members. Simply use the links provided on their website when you shop and up to 15% of your purchase price will be donated back to Young at Heart.
